Donnerstag abend. Den ganzen Tag \u00fcber plagen mich schon uns\u00e4gliche Magenschmerzen. Was falsches gegessen? Der Beginn eines \u00fcblen Magen-Darm Infekts?
\nDer Grund ist mir im Moment egal, \u00e4ndern geht eh nicht mehr. Doch das, was daraus folgt, ist sehr \u00e4rgerlich. Bis 20 Uhr hatte ich gehofft, dass Magentabletten und Tees unterschiedlicher Art ein wenig Linderung bringen. Der Besuch des Geb\u00e4udes 9 stand immer noch auf dem Plan. Dort spielen Asobi Seksu, dieses japanisch-amerikanische Konglomerat um S\u00e4ngerin Yuki Chikudate und Gitarrist James Hanna. Und die wollte ich mir anschauen. Vor einem Jahr habe ich sie schonmal gesehen, als Vorband der editors. Damals sind sie am schlechten Sound in der Kulturkirche verzweifelt. Alles war zu sehr \u00fcbersteuert und wirkte im halbvollen Kirchenschiff zu dr\u00f6hnig.
\nBei Asobi Seksu verschmelzen Shoegaze, Noise-Gitarren und Pop zu einem tr\u00e4umerischen sph\u00e4rischen Klangklumpen, der die Band konsequenterweise in Beziehung zu den Spezialisten My bloody Valentine<\/a>, Lush<\/a> oder Slowdive<\/a> stellt.
\nYuki Chikudate singt dazu teils in n japanisch oder in englisch. Je nachdem, wie es passt. Sie tut dies unaufgeregt und japanisch cool. Ihre Stimme f\u00fcgt sich dezent in die Noisestrukturen ein. Heraus kommt dabei wunderbare Musik. Ein Song wie \u201cSooner\u201d (in Anlehnung an My bloody Valentines Soon<\/a>) ist einfach zeitlos perfekt.<\/p>\n

Um kurz nach acht jedoch muss alle Hoffnungen begraben werden. Mein Magen sagt: zuhausebleiben. Ich kann mich nicht dagegen wehren, setze eine weitere Tasse Tee auf und schaue eine Folge CSI. Doch wenn ich schon ans Sofa gefesselt bin, warum zeigt RTL dann eine CSI Kamelle?
