Doch wieder so viele. So spannend und abwechslungsreich kam mir mein Konzertjahr 2013 gar nicht vor. Waren die Konzerte und Festivals etwa nicht so gut, dass sie mir nicht st\u00e4rker in deutbarerer Erinnerung blieben? Gab es soviel anderes Drumherum, dass sie einfach nicht so wichtig waren?<br \/>\nNun, sicherlich waren meine Abende und Ausfl\u00fcge nicht schlechter als die Jahre davor, also wird es wohl andere Gr\u00fcnde geben.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Barcelona war das gro\u00dfartigste Barcelona, was ich in den letzten Jahren erlebt habe. Das Primavera 2013 \u00fcbertraf alles. Phoenix spielten grandios auf, ich dachte noch lange an das Konzert zur\u00fcck. Dann die Breeders, James Blake, Jesus and Mary Chain, Dinosaur Jr.. Es waren mit die sch\u00f6nsten Konzerte des Jahres. Da st\u00f6rte es auch nur ein bisschen, Blur nicht richtig und Postal Service \u00fcberhaupt nicht gesehen zu haben. Stattdessen boten Bob Mould und Band ein mehr als gutes Alternativprogramm und waren The sea and cake so umwerfend, dass ich mir daheim gleich ihren gesamten Backkatalog zugelegt habe. Die Primaveraneuentdeckung waren Merchandise, gleich zwei Mal durften sie auftreten und beide Male umgarnten sie mich mit ihren Endlossongs und wundervollen Gitarren. Auch Metz entt\u00e4uschten mich keineswegs und Savages zeigten mir am Donnerstagnachmittag zum ersten Mal, welch tolle Liveband sie sind. Die Babies und Sean Nicolas Savage rundeten dann mit ihren Parkkonzerten Samstagnachmittag den Barcelonaausflug wunderbar entspannt ab. Ich bin mir nicht sicher, ob das Primavera 2014 das alles toppen wird. Meine Schnappatmung im Januar bei der Line-up Bekanntgabe war zumindest mehr als berechtigt. Mal sehen, wie stark die Atemnot Ende Januar 2014 sein wird.<br \/>\nZweimal sollte ich Savages noch sehen. Im Herbst. In K\u00f6ln und beim gem\u00fctlichen Crossing Border Festival in den Haag. Das Crossing Border stand in diesem Jahr zum ersten Mal auf meiner Festivalliste, und das sicher nicht zum letzten Mal. Es war eine tolle Mischung aus Literatur- und Musikevent, und neben dem Incubate Festival in Tilburg die Festivalentdeckung des Jahres. Das Incubate ist ein st\u00e4dtisches Kneipen- und Clubfestival. Ein freier Samstag und drei sehenswerte Bands lie\u00dfen uns im Sommer spontan nach Tilburg fahren, zum zweiten Mal binnen weniger Wochen. Zuvor waren wir auf dem Best Kept Secret Festival am Stadtrand von Tilburg. Es war ein Regentag, der uns etwas den Spa\u00df vermisste, Portishead, Suuns und Everything Everything rissen es aber irgendwie raus.<\/p>\n<p><div id='gallery-2' class='gallery galleryid-5234 \/><\/a>\n\t\t\t<\/div><\/figure>\n\t\t<\/div>\n<br \/>\nDas Konzert des Jahres sah ich schon im Januar: Kraftwerk im K20 in D\u00fcsseldorf. Ein Augen- und Ohrengenuss in 3-D. Dieser Abend war einmalig und atemberaubend. Nach kurzen Augenblicken im 3-D Wahn war klar, das kann in diesem Jahr nichts mehr toppen. Viele versuchten es zwar, allen voran die beiden AB Konzerte von Cat Power und den Pixies. Aber auch sie scheiterten letztendlich, knapp zwar, aber Kraftwerk waren 2013 nicht zu schlagen. Es bleibt aber bei der Tatsache, Br\u00fcssel ist Konzerte technisch nie zu untersch\u00e4tzen. Das gilt nicht nur f\u00fcr die Pixies und Cat Power Abende, auch The Joy Formidable in der Botanique waren trotz oder gerade wegen der chaotisch regnerischen Anfahrt und irren R\u00fcckfahrt im Februar jeden Kilometer wert. Und weil Kurzfristigkeit und Spontanit\u00e4t manchmal auch mich \u00fcberf\u00e4llt, legten wir mit dem Spontantrip nach Mainz zu Benjamin Biolay noch einen nach. Da Luxemburg dieses Jahr nicht stattfand, mussten andere St\u00e4dte herhalten: Mainz eben, oder Frankfurt. Die Distanzen sind ja alle machbar.<br \/>\nEin anderer Franzose war die Konzert\u00fcberraschung 2013: -M-. Matthieu Chedid kannte ich bis dato kaum, seit diesem Konzertabend muss ich aber jedem dringend einen Konzertbesuch empfehlen. Showtechnisch ist das ganz gro\u00df und absolut sehenswert. Selbst im kleinen, nur halbvollen Gloria in K\u00f6ln wurde der Abend zu einem Riesenspa\u00df. Wie mag das nur in gro\u00dfen franz\u00f6sischen Hallen sein, die Matthieu Chedid locker ausverkauft. Mathrock in allerbester Qualit\u00e4t und Sch\u00f6nheit. TTNG waren einer der Gr\u00fcnde, zum Incubate zu fahren. Gang of Four und die Neugierde auf dieses Band, ein anderer. Letztere h\u00e4tte man sich schenken k\u00f6nnen, es war vielleicht das schlechteste Konzert des Jahres. Umso \u00fcberraschender der Auftritt des kleinen Amerikaners Mylets, sein Zoostation Cover war eines der Livelieder des Jahres, folgerichtig war Mylets eine weitere Liveentdeckung des Jahres.<br \/>\nAch und Glasgow im Fr\u00fchjahr. My bloody Valentine zum ersten, und das gar nicht so laut wie erhofft. Nach guten 20 Jahren durfte ich meine Shoegaze Helden endlich wieder live sehen, und dann gleich drei Mal. Der Glasgowausflug und ihr Konzert in K\u00f6ln waren sicherlich meine meist erwarteten Konzerte des Jahres. Dass dann noch ein Eindhoven Ausflug hinzukam, ich konnte es nicht \u00e4ndern. Daf\u00fcr lie\u00dfen wir ihren Festivalauftritt beim Primavera in der Samstagnacht sausen, die M\u00fcdigkeit nach drei Tagen Festival war einfach zu stark. Im knapp 2 Kilometer entfernten Hotelzimmer h\u00f6rten wir noch die Gitarrenfeedbacks, sie lockten uns jedoch nicht zur\u00fcck. Nicht den Glasgoweindruck durch einen abgehetzten Festivalauftritt verw\u00e4ssern lassen, so der Grundtenor.<br \/>\nDas Konzertfr\u00fchjahr war von neuen Bands bestimmt. Motorama und Suuns gefielen mir dabei so sehr, dass ich sie im Herbst bzw. Sommer erneut sehen musste. Gerade die Russen von Motorama gefielen mit einer erfrischend unaufgeregten Konzert und antik anmutenden Bassl\u00e4ufen. Sie d\u00fcrfen 2014 gerne wiederkommen, ich kann diese Band nicht oft genug sehen.<br \/>\nAlte Konzertbekannte waren dagegen die niederl\u00e4ndischen Bettie Serveert (f\u00fcr ihre Konzertbesuche ist die niederl\u00e4ndische Grenzn\u00e4he meiner Wohnstadt von gro\u00dfem Vorteil), die unterhaltsamen Foals und Trail of Dead. Auch sie boten wundersch\u00f6ne Konzerte.<br \/>\nUnd da war doch noch Jay-Z. Im vorhinein wusste ich nicht so recht, was mich erwarten w\u00fcrde. Gut, Robert Lewandowsi, Marco Reus und Mats Hummels waren auch da, aber je n\u00e4her der Montag im Oktober r\u00fcckte, umso unsicher war ich, ob es tats\u00e4chlich eine gute Idee gewesen war, soviel Geld f\u00fcr ein Konzert aus Neugierde auszugeben. Aber bereits nach wenigen Minuten Timbaland\u2019scher Samples war klar, dass sich diese Frage nicht stellen w\u00fcrde. Es war bombastisch und \u2013 trotz meiner nur leichten Rap und HipHop Affinit\u00e4t \u2013 ein sehr mitrei\u00dfendes Konzert. Ich fand es besser als den Auftritt des Wu-Tang Clans, der irgendwie im Festivalgewitter und meiner Champions League Final-Depression unterging.<br \/>\nUnd K\u00f6ln, was brachtest du so?<br \/>\nLee Ranaldo, Scout Niblett und Portugal.the man zum Beispiel. M\u00fcsste ich eine Liste der besten 10 Konzerte des Jahres machen, auch sie w\u00e4ren locker dabei.
