Ach die waren das.
\nIch kann mir keine Namen merken und so kommt es, dass ich \u00e4hnlich klingende Bandnamen gerne durcheinander werfe. Bei den Wild nothing war ich mir lange Zeit sehr sicher, dass das die Band sein muss, die wir im Fr\u00fchjahr nach vier Tagen Primavera v\u00f6llig ersch\u00f6pft Samstagnacht auf den Stufen zur drittgr\u00f6\u00dften Festivalb\u00fchne sitzend irgendwie wahrgenommen haben. Sie waren es aber nicht, das waren die Wild beasts. Und Wild nothing sind auch nicht die Band, die wir im Fr\u00fchjahr in K\u00f6ln verpasst hatten, das waren die Cloud nothings. Ich war mal wieder verwirrt (siehe Antlers – Crystal Antlers – Crystal Castles<\/a>) und als ich am Sonntagnachmittag via Internet das letzte und aktuelle Album \u201eNocturne\u201c der Wild nothing h\u00f6rte gar nicht mehr sicher, ob ich diese Band \u00fcberhaupt kenne. Nat\u00fcrlich klingt \u201eNocturne\u201c vertraut, bekannt, sch\u00f6n. Aber das klingen viele Scheiben. Die Single \u201eParadise\u201c best\u00e4tigte mich jedoch sehr darin, mir die Band um Jack Tatum am Abend im Geb\u00e4ude 9 anzusehen.
\n\u201eWeisst du noch, die spielten vor den Stars.\u201c Aha, also so war das. Ich konnte mich kaum daran erinnern, aber es doch gut, wenn man sich auf das Ged\u00e4chtnis eines Freundes verlassen kann. Bei den Stars also.
\nObwohl die Suchfunktion dieser komischen Internetseite nicht richtig auf meinem non-touch Smartphone funktionierte, schafften wir es doch, die Fakten zusammenzutragen:<\/p>\n

Nach kurzer Zeit wird das Set belanglos, die Songs und vor allem Basslinienaustauschbar und etwas langweilig. \u201eFox 5 Serien Indiemusik\u201c, das scheint mir eine sehr passende Umschreibung.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Aha, also bin ich heute doch nicht in der richtigen Veranstaltung. Nat\u00fcrlioch bin ich das, und was interessiert mich mein Geschw\u00e4tz von gestern. Pfffff, alte Meinungen interessieren mich manchmal wenig. Ganz so schwarz\/weiss wie noch vor drei Jahren sehe ich Wild nothing nicht mehr. Klar, ihr Dreampop ist nicht sonderlich innovativ, ihre Melodien vielleicht schon hundertmal geh\u00f6rt, ein Ding, das sie sich beispielsweise mit den gro\u00dfen Pains of being pure at heart teilen. Aber ihre s\u00fc\u00dfen, mitwippbaren Songs sind allemal gut und interessant genug, um einen sch\u00f6nen Sonntagabend zu verbringen oder um sich die ein oder andere Autofahrt zu vers\u00fc\u00dfen. Und wenn das nicht f\u00fcr ein Konzertbesuch reicht, dann weiss ich auch nicht weiter. Leider untersch\u00e4tzt man Bands wie Wild nothing sehr leicht, weil man ihre Songs untersch\u00e4tzt. Vielen scheint es so gegangen zu sein, anders kann ich mir die doch relativ geringe Resonanz im Geb\u00e4ude 9 nicht erkl\u00e4ren.
\nGestern Abend habe ich \u201eShadow\u201c mehrfach geh\u00f6rt. Es ist ein Riesenhit. Pop in allerbester Art und Weise: vertr\u00e4umt, t\u00e4nzelnd, zuckers\u00fc\u00df. Dreampop nennt man dieses Genre, und wenn es einer Blaupause zur Begriffserkl\u00e4rung ben\u00f6tigen w\u00fcrde, w\u00e4re „Shadow“ die perfekte Wahl. Und da es exemplarisch f\u00fcr beinahe alle Wild nothing Songs herangezogen werden kann, ist der Abend schnell berichtet: Er war wie ein Meer aus Zuckerwatte.
\nAnsonsten keine weiteren Vorkommnisse au\u00dfer der erneuten Beobachtung, dass Indiekonzertg\u00e4nger ein sehr intolerantes V\u00f6lkchen sind.<\/p>\n
